It was in the year 2015 when the first edition of the Consensus festival was organized. In no time, Consensus established itself as a celebration of all that crypto has to offer. A convention that has been shedding light on all aspects pertaining to blockchains, Web 3, and the metaverse, the event is a point of convergence like no other for players in the space. From its inception, Consensus has been backed and sponsored by CoinDesk, the most influential and trusted platform for the digital world. 

Consensus 2022, is set to be hosted in one of America’s most vibrant and creative cities — Austin, Texas. Consensus brings with it a glorious history of igniting hard-hitting conversations and hosting one-of-a-kind experiences. The latest iteration promises to be no different, as some of the brightest minds and the most thoughtful voices in the crypto space will be sharing the stage at Consensus 2022. The festival will be held from June 9th to 12th and will feature never-seen-before events such as the Metaverse Zone — a 6,000 square foot space at the heart of the center that will feature demos of some of the coolest metaversal experiences and the Metagala — an inaugural red-carpet event that will bring together the worlds of culture, crypto & fashion. The festival will also bring together some of the most popular musicians, including Method Man & Redman, Durand Jones & The Indications, Disclosure, Marian Hill, Neil Frances, and Bob Moses. 

The event will play host to a glittering array of speakers, including; Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO of one of the world’s leading cryptocurrency derivatives exchange — FTX; Abby Johnson, Chairperson and CEO of Fidelity Investments; Dan Schulman, President and CEO, PayPal; Neal Stephenson, author of the seminal Snowcrash and the man credited for coining the term metaverse; Changpeng Zhao, Founder and CEO of Binance; U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, and Latashá, one of the more popular NFT enthusiasts and entrepreneurial artists.
